As a co-educational, six-form entry primary school, Barclay is one of the largest and most high-performing primary schools in the country. We aim to create a safe, welcoming and caring environment, where all are respectful and work together as a community, for the children, their families and the staff. We teach all pupils to value different communities and religions and to respect and understand people’s different lifestyles and background.
As a school, we aim to challenge all pupils academically, making them assessment proficient learners through a strong focus on targeted teaching for each pupil. The students will develop academic and life skills, and understand that learning doesn't stop at the school gates and is a lifelong process.
Barclay Primary is a Google Lighthouse School and a centre of excellence for the integration of technology across all facets of teaching and learning. We remain firmly focused on innovation and trialling new ways of working to make sure our pupils and staff enjoy the benefits of the very best environment for teaching and learning.
