Within Sybourn Primary, we have a nursery provision for the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as daycare facilities for children from 0 to 3 years of age. Located in a community that benefits from being culturally diverse, the school population includes 27 ethnicities, and 30 languages are spoken by our pupils. Based on two sites originally opened in 1892 and 1903, this large primary school offers pupils a wonderful range of opportunities and learning environments through the blend of Victorian, Edwardian and more modern elements of the school estate.
Most recently judged by Ofsted as being “good” with outstanding leadership and management, we are an inclusive, caring school where every child matters. We recognise that all children have talents and abilities that should be celebrated, and part of our role is to help children to discover these. We challenge and develop our children to become curious, autonomous learners who are inspired and stimulated through a rich and varied curriculum that is appropriate to their individual needs. We develop children’s learning skills and, by setting high expectations and exacting standards, we prepare our children to flourish and to have high self-esteem and self-belief.
We expect our children to leave Sybourn as the best possible Thinkers, Achievers and Innovators imaginable.
