
The Lion Academy Trust is a company limited by guarantee and an exempt charitable trust. Responsibility for the schools that make up the Lion Academy Trust, and for the funds (used for providing education services in those schools) granted by Parliament as a result of our Funding Agreement, is entrusted to the Board of Trustees. These trustees are also the directors of the company. We ask that every member of the governance function sign up to a common code of conduct that calls on staff and volunteers to work in accordance with the Seven Principles of Public Life, as defined in the Nolan Principles.
Governance in the Lion Academy Trust is delivered across four tiers, and is designed to minimise duplication of functions and to provide timely, robust and transparent oversight of the workings of the Trust:
